Miura Peninsula (三浦半島 Miura-hantō) is a peninsula located in Kanagawa, about an hour on the train south of Tokyo. The peninsula is a popular day trip from Tokyo, although ideally you’ll need a car to get around. The United States naval base is located in Yokosuka on the eastern side.
