The Cambodia Festival at Yoyogi Park is a vibrant two-day celebration held annually during the Golden Week holidays. Established in 2015, this free event transforms the park’s event square into a bustling cultural hub, attracting over 100,000 visitors.
Attendees can explore approximately 70 booths offering authentic Khmer crafts, UNESCO-recognized Krama fabrics, and traditional delicacies like Amok (fish curry) and Num Banh Chok (rice noodles). The outdoor stage features captivating performances by professional dance troupes from Cambodia, showcasing intricate classical Khmer dance. Beyond food and art, the festival serves as a platform for NGOs and companies to highlight their collaborative efforts, strengthening the enduring friendship between Japan and Cambodia.
