The Koto Fireworks Festival is a prominent summer event in Tokyo, featuring approximately 4,000 fireworks launched from a barge on the Arakawa River. A defining characteristic of this hanabi taikai is the exceptional proximity of the launch site, with spectators positioned on the river banks only 150 meters from the display. This close range provides a powerful acoustic and visual experience that is rare among urban fireworks displays.
