The Tokyo Motorcycle Show is the largest event of its kind in Japan, held over three days at the Tokyo Big Sight convention center in Odaiba. Occupying nearly 30,000 square meters of exhibition space, the event serves as a major platform for both domestic and international manufacturers to debut new models and concept designs. The “Big Four” Japanese manufacturers—Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki—feature prominently, alongside a wide array of European and American brands. The show is also referred to as nirin-matsuri (二輪祭), reflecting its focus on two-wheeled transportation.
In addition to motorcycles, the show features approximately 600 booths from around 150 exhibitors showcasing specialized parts, custom components, and safety gear such as helmets and riding apparel. Outdoor areas often host live demonstrations, including trial bike performances and precision riding drills by the Metropolitan Police Department’s motorcycle unit. Dedicated sections focus on motorcycle tourism, camping equipment, and vintage restorations. The event provides enthusiasts with the opportunity to experience the latest industry trends and ergonomic developments in a hands-on environment. Similar to the Tokyo Auto Salon, the exhibition highlights customization culture while maintaining a strong focus on technical innovation and road safety.
